🤝Çairi and Ferizaja with a joint project, photovoltaic panels in 6 schools and 2 kindergartens
Çairi and Ferizaja today opened a new historical chapter of cooperation. Mayor of the Municipality of Çair, Visar Ganiu, along with the Mayor of Ferizaj Agim Aliun, marked the beginning of the implementation of the EkoKid project, part of the Program for Inter-border Cooperation Kosovo – North Macedonia, IPA European Union funds opium.
Thus Çairi and Ferizai strengthen cross-border mechanisms to implement EU strategies for protecting the living environment.
The project includes the installation of photovoltaic panels as well as the replacement of old effective pens in 3 Çairi municipal primary schools and a kindergarten:

📍“Always cry”
📍 “Liberty”
📍The “Seasonal” nursery
✅With these solar panels, costs are reduced because at an annual level approximately 160.000 kWh of electric energy is expected to be produced.
Meanwhile in Ferizaj, photovoltaic panels will be installed in 3 schools and 1 kindergartens.
One of these schools is “Gjon Serreçi” which we visited together with mayor Aliu and where we met an extremely warm welcome.
Implementation of this project however will contribute to the promotion of good cross-border relations, integration in the EU and promoting socio-economic development in both municipalities.
